NORTH CAPE

The North cape plateau is a cliff on Magerøya in Finnmark. The 307 meter high cliff is often referred as the point the most northerly in Europe. But Knivskjelodden is 1452 m further to the north, and is therefore the real northernmost point of Europe.

Anyway, it was fun to drive there. It was a completely unique feeling to drive through the mountains and see the cliffs. The plateau itself with the globe is very touristy and you have to pay an entrance ticket to be able to walk on the plateau. If you want to enter the building that has a restaurant and souvenir shop, you must pay a separate entrance ticket for that. We didn't. It was cool to see the plateau and a bit "once in a life time" experience.

We chose to drive to Gjesvær to see the midnight sun and it is highly recommended! Read more about Gjesvær here.
